What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the site EHSS leader for Prattville, AL—setting direction, coaching leaders, and driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and physical security.
  • Analyze leading and lagging indicators (inspections, observations, audits, pre-task assessments, near misses, and incidents) to identify trends and prioritize corrective actions.
  • Coach department managers and supervisors on daily EHSS execution (tier meetings, field engagement, hazard identification, and follow-through) to improve ownership and accountability.
  • Lead incident reporting and investigation processes (root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions), ensuring learning is captured and sustained across the site.
  • Own site risk management systems, including hazard reporting, near-hit reporting, and non-routine task risk assessments; verify closure quality and effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute behavioral safety and compliance audits; calibrate audit quality and coach teams when expectations are not met.
  • Develop site communications (pre-shift topics, alerts, and learning shares) to reinforce critical controls and prevent repeat events across sister facilities.
  • Lead site audit cadence (housekeeping, risk assessments, regulatory, and corporate audits) and drive timely corrective action completion.
  • Manage training and competency programs, including new-hire orientation and required refresher training (OSHA, company programs, and site-specific hazards).
  • Administer the site environmental compliance program (air, water, waste, and chemical management as applicable), including permitting support, inspections, recordkeeping, and agency interface.
  • Lead site security and emergency preparedness, including contractor/visitor controls, incident response coordination, security vendor oversight (as applicable), and alignment to corporate security standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science/engineering, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience as an EHS/EHSS professional with demonstrated success leading site-level programs and driving measurable performance improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching leaders and front-line teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certifications (preferred): CSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP, or equivalent; security/loss prevention credentials or experience (e.g., CPP) a plus.
