Summary

This position is responsible for planning production of finished goods to support target stocking levels and assure attainment of our service levels to our customers. This position is also responsible for supporting the team members with process oversight/improvement and direct coordination with the Plant Production teams and the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team.

What You’ll Do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with IBP, Customer Service, Logistics and Operations team to support the definition and management production planning elements of Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Own the review and updating of production planning parameters in JDEdwards (ERP/MRP).
  • Create production schedules that balance customer demand, Complete and On Time (COT) targets, inventory management and shop floor optimization, within agreed upon finite capacity models.
  • Create and Manage work orders within the JDEwards environment.
  • Support the IBP team and Ultralox Finance to understand and set production targets by product family to support the organization’s sales and service targets.
  • Work closely with Plant Production and Engineering leadership and their teams to identify capacity requirements and other resource needs to meet production targets by family.
  • Coordinate ‘clear to build’ reviews of upcoming production schedules to confirm component availability.  Proactively communicate potential gaps to customer service and purchasing.
  • Coordinate directly with logistics functions when appropriate to facilitate expedited shipments.
  • Own schedule attainment metrics and support the operations team in productivity and efficiency metrics.
  • Actively support Ultralox ‘Zero Harm’ policy and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred not required
  • Experience: 2 years of production planning management in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office with heavy emphasis on Excel, should know pivot tables and macros.  JD Edwards ERP or other similar system 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative working style
  • Certifications & Licenses:  APICS desirable but not required

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $68,000 - $75,000.  Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
