Summary

Do you have hands-on construction or installation experience and enjoy showing others how to do the job the right way?

We're looking for an Installation Training Specialist who will become an expert in our pergola and cabana systems and take that knowledge into the field to train the dealers and crews who install them.

This is a hands-on construction and installation training role for someone who understands how things go together, can troubleshoot problems in the field, and can confidently teach those skills to others.

You'll spend approximately 50% of your time traveling, including overnight travel, primarily working directly with dealer installation crews.

What You’ll Do:

  • Train new dealers and installation crews on how to properly build and install pergola and cabana systems.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and coaching throughout the installation process.
  • Teach construction and installation fundamentals, including measuring, leveling, getting structures plumb and square, and understanding product-specific installation requirements.
  • Provide refresher training for existing dealers and new installation crews.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and help crews identify practical solutions.
  • Communicate with dealers before training to help prepare them for successful installations.
  • Support trade shows and other special installation activities as needed.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, professional resource for our dealer network.

What You’ll Bring:

You don't need previous pergola or cabana experience. We're looking for someone with the construction ability and mechanical aptitude to learn our products and the communication skills to teach others.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in:

  • Construction or skilled trades
  • Carpentry
  • Mechanical or equipment installation
  • Building products
  • Field service or field installation
  • Outdoor structures or specialty construction
  • Leading, mentoring, or training installation crews

You'll also need:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using measurements and basic construction principles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain how something should be built or installed.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, including overnight travel.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $55,000 to $70,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
