Position: Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition

Reports to: Head of Global, Talent Acquisition

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

 

Job Summary

 

The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition will create, drive and lead job function specific sourcing, attraction and pipelining strategies across all functions for the North America business.  This role will be responsible for increasing our recruiting capabilities to identify and attract talent in key U.S. markets for executive and exempt professional recruiting.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Know relevant and current trends, bringing the outside in from both a tools and trends perspective as well as the competitive landscape on talent.
  • Lead a team of Recruiters that will focus on generating passive candidates for our current and future business needs.
  • Build the marketing capability of our recruitment team, helping to identify and drive social media opportunities to build our employer brand and overall talent demand for key roles.
  • With a focus on daily operational performance, synchronizing supply with demand, optimizing service delivery, and maximizing customer satisfaction. 
  • Establish goals for performance improvement, and monitor trends in key performance indicators. 
  • Develop and deliver training on processes, tools and systems.
  • Continually assess the effectiveness of recruiting tools and processes. Ensure resource needs of the department achieve key metrics while providing effective recruiting, on-boarding, orientation, and training.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across HR, Talent Acquisitions and functional leadership teams as it relates to talent sourcing and executive recruitment
  • Challenge the status quo and myths with stakeholder populations to get better solutions and business outcomes.
  • Develop pro-active external talent strategies that are effective and efficient
  • Develop and execute best in class sourcing strategies to meet business needs.
  • Share external market insights with functional leadership teams to deliver better outcomes.
  • Enable a high performing work culture across the team and develop direct reports though helping them be at their best and setting them up for success.
  • Manage and track any area/functional TA spend with a cost conscious mindset, seeking regional approval for any unbudgeted requirements
  • Develop strategies to drive our Business Outcome Metrics for Talent Acquisition around quality of hire, cost per hire, direct sourcing, time to fill, and our employer of choice brand index
  • Hands on Recruiting of senior level roles, manage retained and contingent vendors and negotiations
  • Partner with Recruiting Coordinators to deliver a best in class candidate and hiring manager experience

Desired Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelors / Undergraduate degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Recruitment or Search/ Sourcing, leading people.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Recruitment Marketing and Employer Attraction
  • Minimum of 4 years of executive recruitment experience managing searches, agency partners and candidate experience.

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies including the principles and practices of staffing administration including methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and training.
  • Comfort working across a matrix environment and influencing various stakeholders at all levels without authority
  • Ability to manage and participate in multiple projects, priorities, and client groups, manage timelines, and escalate issues as needed
  • Ability to work with diverse and remote teams located across time zones
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research best practices and network internally and externally
  • Ability to manage conflicting stakeholder interests and escalate as needed
  • Able to travel 5%

 

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $146,000 to $200,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
