The Sr. Manager, Regional EHS will be responsible for driving execution of our best-in-class safety vision, drive step change and improve and sustain safety performance, through collaboration with key team members at all levels of the organization for the North America manufacturing locations. They will partner with key leaders at the manufacturing locations to execute safety strategy and set performance goals and expectations with all employees at all locations throughout the region and will set the vision for behavioral based safety approach that creates exceptionally high levels of trust between employees at all organizational levels. The Sr. Manager, Regional EHS is responsible for strong safety leadership and strategic vision for all North American manufacturing plants.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Execute North America EHS strategy for all North America manufacturing
  • Manage and lead a team of Plant EHS Managers and Specialists directly, and enable them for success, while helping them to drive world class safety performance across the manufacturing organization
  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the manufacturing locations to all EHS leaders and safety committees 
  • Direct and ensure proper resourcing both internally and externally for all safety-related matters
  • Develop and execute safety plans in the workplace in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations and legal guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization with safety policies and procedures at NA Manufacturing locations to continue to evolve our safety culture.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to laws and implement any corrective actions.
  • Responsible for creating clear communication and expectations as well as ensuring deployment of appropriate training throughout the plants
  • Drive best practices across the business to ensure we are mitigating all safety risks
  • Manage safety reporting throughout the manufacturing business on required safety metrics.

 

What You’ll Bring:  

The successful candidate will be a strategically and operationally oriented, broad-based EHS leader with strategic insights/big company vision, with at least 10 - 15 years of progressive EHS leadership experience. They will have exceptional team leadership and communication skills, as well as exposure to best-in-class EHS practices.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;  Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, physical sciences or engineering preferred
  • 10 - 15 years of progressive EHS experience
  • A minimum of 5 years managing an EHS function at multiple sites or for an entire organization
  • Ability to build a strong partnerships within the business
  • A strong leader with the ability to build and inspire a strong team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A strong leader with the ability to build and inspire a strong team
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility at all level within the organization and influence senior leaders
  • EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 40%
