Summary
Location: Hybrid from Chicago, IL
The Salesforce Developer is a Software as a Service (SaaS) role which demonstrates skills and experience related to software delivery model in which software and associated data are centrally hosted on the cloud. The Salesforce Developer serves as a technical role supporting the CRM solution, salesforce.com at James Hardie. The Developer will be responsible for designing, coding and implementing on the platform. This role works collaboratively with others to analyze and develop CRM workflows and solutions. This role will report to the Sr. Solution Architect through the sales organization. The Sr. Salesforce Solution Architect will manage a team of Salesforce developers and report into the Sr. Salesforce Solution Architect through the sales organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Possesses a strong understanding of salesforce.com platform and basic to intermediate level of understanding with integrating external app, single sign, security, etc.
- Collaborates with technology and peer teams to ensure effective data flow between Salesforce.com and integrated systems by providing technical support of integrated business operational workflows, functional requirements and analyzing opportunities for process improvements while supporting agile development projects.
- Work cross functionally with finance, sales, marketing, products and segments.
- Manages timelines and create and/or update functional and technical documentation to support business requirements.
- Maintains user roles, profiles, permission sets and user groups to ensure there are no security breaches that could put at risk James Hardie data including set up and deactivation of users accounts and permissions.
- Creates and manages complex Flows and Validation Rules has ability to drive efficiencies within the business.
- Design and develop advanced customizations using Salesforce.com developer toolkit including VS Code, Apex Classes, Triggers, LWC, Aura Component, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Data Loader, schedule/ batch jobs, Rest API, and email services.
- Responsible for testing and implementation of software development including coding, configuration, maintenance, installation, testing and debugging. Attain user acceptance testing on all new code and enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date on new Salesforce features, releases and other third party integrations to provide recommendations for process improvements and future integrations.
- Propose solution recommendations and alternatives to satisfy customer requirements and align with strategic roadmap.
- Leverage Salesforce best practices to effectively integrate Salesforce into the enterprise architecture and drive efficiencies for the sales organization.
- Produce technical documentation of salesforce system and architectures.
- Define and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data governance and quality.
- Design and implement technical solutions to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Work closely with business partners to understand business requirements.
- Work closely with various business partners to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable solutions using the Salesforce technologies.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with key business and technology partners.
- Produce quality code for assigned development tasks.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent or appropriate business experience and discipline that shows equivalent talent.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Salesforce development across various Salesforce clouds (Sales, Marketing, Service and Platform clouds etc.)
- Proficient with Apex, LWC, Aura Component, VisualForce, SQl, SOQL,Github and JavaScript.
- Analytical skills to help design and produce solutions to business need and requirements.
- Well-rounded in both functional and technical aspects of a CRM engagement.
- Ability to problem solve and foster new ideas and concepts as well as thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Self- motivated with strong time management and the ability to meet timelines and schedules often working on multiple projects at once.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Working knowledge of software development life cycle, change management best practices and agile development methodologies.
- Certified SFDC Architect, Advanced Developer and/or Developer strongly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce technologies (clouds, offerings, custom development, integration, etc.)
- Experience integrating salesforce with 3rd party system using web services and app exchange apps
- Experience with JavaScript, AJAX and other front-end technologies preferred.
- Experience with Web Services is a plus.
- Ability to foster new ideas and concepts and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Salesforce Developer and Advanced Admin certifications and accreditations a plus.
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $106,000 to $133,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
