Summary
The Manager of Executive Recruiting is responsible for leading strategic executive search efforts across the organization. This role partners closely with senior leadership to identify, attract, and hire top-tier executive talent while ensuring a seamless candidate experience and alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on recruiter with deep expertise in executive search, stakeholder management, and talent strategy.
What You’ll Do:
Executive Search Strategy & Execution
- Lead end-to-end executive recruiting for Director and above level roles across functions.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using direct sourcing, networking, and market intelligence.
- Manage confidential searches with discretion and professionalism.
- Partner with retained search firms when appropriate and manage vendor relationships.
- Know relevant and current trends, bringing the outside in from both a tools and trends perspective as well as the competitive landscape on talent.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand talent needs.
- Provide market insights and consultative guidance on role design, compensation, and candidate profiles.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and talent analytics.
Candidate Experience & Process Management
- Ensure a high-touch candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
- Oversee interview scheduling, feedback loops, and offer negotiations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in ATS and recruiting systems.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and develop junior recruiters and coordinators supporting executive searches.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Compensation, and Legal on complex hiring scenarios.
- Contribute to broader TA initiatives including employer branding, ONEHardie, and process optimization.
- Continually assess the effectiveness of recruiting tools and processes. Ensure resource needs of the department achieve key metrics while providing effective recruiting, on-boarding, orientation, and training.
- Challenge the status quo and myths with stakeholder populations to get better solutions and business outcomes.
- Develop strategies to drive our Business Outcome Metrics for Talent Acquisition around quality of hire, cost per hire, direct sourcing, time to fill, and our employer of choice brand index.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 4 years focused on executive search.
- Proven success in managing Director and VP+ level searches across multiple functions.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience with ATS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors) and recruiting analytics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of executive recruitment experience managing searches, agency partners and candidate experience.
- Prior in-house executive recruiting experience
- Familiarity with global talent markets and cross-border hiring
- Experience in manufacturing building products or industrial sector
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies including the principles and practices of staffing administration including methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and training.
- Comfort working across a matrix environment and influencing various stakeholders at all levels without authority
- Ability to manage and participate in multiple projects, priorities, and client groups, manage timelines, and escalate issues as needed
- Ability to work with diverse and remote teams located across time zones
- Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to research best practices and network internally and externally
- Ability to manage conflicting stakeholder interests and escalate as needed
- Able to travel 5%
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $135,000.00 to $160,000.00. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits, and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
