This role will drive retail channel growth, strengthen brand presence, and deepen customer engagement across home improvement retailers including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other key partners.

This position requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. The Senior Director will oversee retail marketing strategy, merchandising, digital retail programs, and omni-channel execution to maximize market share, category leadership, and profitability across both brands and will be accountable to achieving the revenue and profitability goals established.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute long-term retail marketing strategies that align with each brand’s growth objectives and retail channel priorities.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable growth plans and programs that drive sales volume, brand preference, and market share.
  • Lead omni-channel marketing strategies that integrate e-commerce, in-store merchandising, special order, and stocking programs.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Brand, and Digital teams to ensure a unified go-to-market approach.

Retail Marketing & Merchandising

  • Direct the development of promotional and merchandising plans that elevate brand visibility and engagement at retail.
  • Lead line review strategy and execution, ensuring both brands achieve maximum presence and sell-through performance.
  • Manage retail associate training programs and in-store engagement tools to increase conversion with homeowners and contractors.
  • Ensure excellence in retail marketing execution — from planograms and displays to digital retail content and media placements.

Customer & Channel Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with key retail accounts, including The Home Depot and Lowe’s, to drive joint business planning and annual marketing programs.
  • Support the sales team in negotiations, business reviews, and new product launches.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive activity, consumer insights, and category trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Team & Financial Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing retail marketing team across both brands.
  • Manage annual and monthly retail marketing budgets, ensuring efficient investment across channels.
  • Drive a performance-driven culture focused on data, measurement, and ROI.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in consumer or building materials marketing, with 7+ years in retail channel leadership roles.
  • Proven success in managing large retail partnerships (Home Depot, Lowe’s, or equivalent).
  • Strong omni-channel marketing experience, including digital retail, merchandising, and in-store activation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple brands or business units.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with retail analytics tools is a plus.

Personal Characteristics

  • Visionary yet pragmatic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Highly collaborative with a track record of building strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Hands-on problem solver who balances strategy with execution.
  • Ethical, organized, and deeply committed to brand excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence.
