Summary

TimberTech is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead our outbound shipping operation at our Wilmington, Ohio manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee a team of approximately 23 employees while ensuring the safe, accurate and on-time shipment of finished products across North America and international markets. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor from a manufacturing, warehouse, transportation, distribution, 3PL or supply chain environment who enjoys leading people, solving problems and driving operational excellence. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of shipping operators and clerks.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily shipping operations.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments across flatbeds, vans, railcars and export containers.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, FIFO practices and physical inventory activities.
  • Partner with Production, Customer Service, Transportation and Receiving to support outstanding customer service and operational performance.
  • Support a multi-shift operation while maintaining a strong presence on the floor. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree, technical degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, transportation, distribution, 3PL, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience leading teams of hourly employees in a fast-paced operation, including coaching, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
  • Track record of driving accountability, improving performance, and maintaining positive employee relations while fostering a culture of respect and teamwork.
  • Strong safety mindset with experience promoting safe work practices, addressing incidents, and ensuring compliance with workplace standards.
  • Working knowledge of shipping operations, warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, distribution, cross-dock, 3PL, or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with cycle counts, physical inventories, FIFO practices, and inventory accuracy initiatives preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with JDE or a similar ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to effectively partner with Production, Customer Service, Logistics, and Transportation teams.
  • Ability to support a 24-hour, three-shift operation while working primarily Monday through Friday on a daytime schedule.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
