Summary

James Hardie EDP is a two-year training program created for engineering graduates aspiring to grow in their chosen profession. The program is designed to enrich your knowledge through practical training, professional collaboration, and ongoing mentorship in manufacturing and corporate office environments. James Hardie dynamic culture and pursuit for innovation create a supportive environment where you are encouraged to be creative and inquisitive, assertive and proactive, collaborative and resourceful.     

What You’ll Do:

First Year:  You will be placed in a rotational training at one of the company’s eleven U.S. plants. You will gain immersive experience in James Hardie innovation culture, professional development, and hands-on training covering the entire fiber-cement manufacturing process. 

 

Deliverables: You will be empowered to apply acquired knowledge and skills to challenging projects offering practical solutions to manufacturing process design, reliability, operations, and optimization.  

 

Second Year: After finishing the rotational program, you will be assigned to an engineering role at one of James Hardie plants located in Illinois, Texas, Virginia, Alabama, Florida, California, Nevada, Washington, or at our corporate office in Chicago, IL.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paper Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
  • Able to relocate to one of our 11 U.S. Manufacturing plants
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated work ethic through past co-op or internship, preferred
