Storeroom Coordinator

The Storeroom Coordinator is directly responsible for establishing, organizing, planning, and implementing maintenance support and continuous improvement programs for our receiving and storeroom operations. This includes following James Hardie procedures and processes for requisitioning and receipt of operating supplies and services. Duties include managing the replenishment of Maintenance MRO parts and facilitate company strategies for MRO management. This position requires communication skills and the ability to interact will all levels of management. The Storeroom Coordinator will maintain inventory control policies to assure accurate and controlled inventories. The Storeroom Coordinator will facilitate reporting on performance against operating and financial KPI measures and involved in cost reduction initiatives.

Job responsibilities

· Provide MRO support to maintenance in the areas of parts availability & vendor support

· Facilitate company strategies for Storeroom Improvement Initiatives.

· Support and integrate the Storeroom with the Maintenance Planning & Execution process.

· Provide training in Hexagon to Maintenance Personnel.

· Conduct annual inventory counts.

· Maintain Storeroom Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and provide training/communication on SOP’s with maintenance and plant personnel.

· Analyze and recommend adjustments to inventory levels, considering maintenance input and inventory optimization theory.

· Analyze and recommend adjustments to inventory levels associated with VMI programs.

· Develop, maintain and communicate timely and accurate reporting of Storeroom KPI’s.

· Identify and deplete obsolete/surplus inventory levels, considering customer input and inventory optimization theory.

· Serve as a liaison between the Storeroom and Maintenance Planners to communicate part obsolescence, replacements, etc., and to assure equipment BOM’s are being maintained and updated.

· Conduct daily cycle counts.

· Develop and maintain positive rapport with all James Hardie Employees.

· Work closely with Accounting to research and validate invoices for purchased materials.

· Run open purchase order reports and take proper action with vendors or Buying Center.

· Develop and implement cost saving measures.

· Develop and implement a defined material kitting process for PM and planned work orders.

· Manage and oversee part repair programs.

Qualifications

· 3+ Years of experience preferred of equivalent Storeroom experience

· Proficiency in Hexagon Spare Part Management

· Proficiency in MRO Inventory Management

· Strong familiarity with multiple MRO commodities

· Proficiency in Purchasing & Requisitioning

· Comfortable working in a largely self-directed environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

· Capable of routinely lifting 10-20 pounds, up to 50 pounds at times

· Able to routinely operate a forklift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
