Onsite from the Plant City, FL plant
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper management of the quality control laboratory as well as the management and development of the quality technicians. The incumbent works in collaboration with the plant management team to address and solve quality issues as needed. The incumbent must also ensure compliance with corporate quality policies and business objectives to ensure the manufacture of products with superior value. The Quality Coordinator reports to the Quality Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversees QC lab daily operations through the QC Lead
- Checks the Certificate of Analysis (COA) and testing critical properties of incoming raw materials including: silica, cement, pulp etc. to ensure that the materials meet the Company’s specifications
- Oversees maintaining and complying with the Company’s quality standards and third-party quality agencies such as Intertech Test Services (ITS)
- Provides internal and external technical training in statistical process control, quality specifications, quality systems, and customer expectations.
- Troubleshoots daily quality issues as they arise, by analyzing results of data collected from the testing methods to solve current issues and prevent future incidents
- Performs root cause analysis on identified issues and presents findings from the analysis to the plant management team
- Implements and monitors all corrective actions for QC issues and communicates status to the plant management team
- Measures performance of corrective actions by tracking the appropriate data to ensure solutions to correct root causes of issues are sustainable
- Supports corporate quality policies and standards to ensure final product meets the Company’s quality specifications and customer expectations by complying with the Company’s core quality systems
- Ensures full and continuing external audit compliance
- Ensures an effective product quarantine system that does not allow the release of non-conformant material
- Leads the internal audit program and holds departments accountable for required QC audit participation

What You’ll Bring:

Desired Education & Experience:
Minimum: High School or GED,
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Field or Quality Management. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
- 1 or more years of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.
- Two years in a manufacturing environment

Desired Skills & Certifications:
- Proven ability to work safely
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Must be capable of prioritizing and performing multiple tasks
- Proven degree of high quality performance in current position
- Ability to learn and apply Excel and Minitab programs
- Ability to accurately use measuring devices
- Demonstrated and applied knowledge of troubleshooting quality issues
- Demonstrated and applied knowledge of creating corrective actions to solve issues as needed
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in job roles
- Demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable and superior results
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and management regarding equipment status, safety issues, and turnover information
- Have at least 2 years of experience
- Have a high school diploma / GED
- Lift 50 lbs. and handle physical work
- Can work in a team environment

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to traverse inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a tablet, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Ability to drive/get certified on golf carts
