Experience: 2 years of experience in a direct management role in master data management or related. Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead role in a master data management program. Minimum of 2 years leading others in direct management role. Demonstrated understanding of all phases of the systems development lifecycle for applications. Detailed knowledge of data transformation and normalization integration concepts in a high-volume batch and real-time environment. Demonstrated expertise in master data management including solution implementation, business application requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance. Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems. Familiarity with commercially available MDM technologies including SAP and Informatica; as well as TIBCO or Ataccama. Experience leading service-oriented, large scale master data management projects involving multiple teams or divisions. Demonstrated ability managing the quality, consistency, validity and accuracy of customer data, product data, vendor data and employee data.
Travel required 10% of time to multiple locations throughout US.
Job duties: The Sr. Manager Master Data Management and Data Governance position will lead and manage the strategy, design, execution and sustainment of technology, people, process and governance pertaining to James Hardie's master data (item, customer, vendor, and employee). Responsible for directly impacting the growth and application of Master Data Management by guiding the strategy, partnering with the business, and providing solutions. Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Architect, implement and maintain master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities. Lead teams across projects and functional areas including Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance, etc. and work with Business SMEs across product and supply chain domains in different regions. Define enterprise master data strategy across customer, item, supplier, and employee data domains that aligns with business goals and lays foundation for sustained execution with partnership from Enterprise Data leader. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans. Provide recommendations to improve business process, resourcing, and technology practices within each domain (customer, item, supplier, and employee). Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Work with Data Governance leader to define KPIs to measure and manage master data integrity, accuracy, quality, ROI, and service levels. Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI). Work with functional, technical and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting teams to define comprehensive data strategy for the company. Build global teams (functional & technical) to support and scale master data management. Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.
