The Senior Financial Reporting position is a cross functional global role with broad visibility within the organization and plays a key role in consolidating and preparing the Company’s external financials statements. This includes ensuring that the financial statements, internal controls over financial reporting and related filings are compliant with US GAAP and the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) rules and regulations.

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Play a key role in the preparation, review and filing of the Company’s US GAAP based quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and related materials that are issued to the Australian Stock Exchange (“ASX”) and the SEC. Additionally, lead efforts to prepare and file required Irish annual Statutory reporting.
  • Confirm the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Company’s quarterly press release, management presentation, scripts for the earnings call, and other documents filed with the SEC and ASX.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for accurate reporting, including global consolidation, management reports, external financial statements and ad hoc requests.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and data integrity in the financial information and reporting deliverables provided to senior management and other users of the consolidated financial information.
  • Perform analytical procedures on financial statement accounts and prepare relevant supporting work papers for amounts and disclosures in both internal and external reports.
  • Prepare and post relevant consolidating journal entries in conformity with US GAAP. Review and ensure intercompany balances are eliminated.
  • Lead the internal Sarbanes-Oxley Act (“SOX”) certification process and prepare the group’s related financial disclosure controls in connection with SOX.
  • Coordinate with the external auditors during quarterly and annual audit periods.
  • Participate in special projects and various initiatives, including system updates, upgrades, and process improvements across various functions.

 What You’ll Bring: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, in accounting required.
  • CPA strongly desired but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or top-tier firm) or financial reporting for a publicly traded company, preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Highly self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Independently assess one’s own work, ensuring high quality and accuracy by verifying details and taking corrective action to maintain data integrity in compliance with established standards.
  • A positive team player who inspires excellence and knows how to escalate roadblocks to keep projects moving forward.
  • Understand US GAAP and fundamentals of a multi-jurisdictional consolidation process; demonstrates ability to research relevant accounting guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to comprehend and interpret data effectively.

 

 What You’ll Receive:

 

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $87,500 - $109,300 per year. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits, and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
