Summary
Position Summary:
Support the accounting/finance operations by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with the close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in inventory accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting, working closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing-related transactions
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations (including inventory, COGS, and manufacturing overhead accounts) and resolve discrepancies
- Support inventory accounting, including tracking raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to support those departments and fill in as necessary
- Help maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions
- Assist with external/internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, including SOX (if applicable)
- Identify process improvements in accounting workflows and reporting
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, corporate, or multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Experience with internal controls, audits, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
