This is a high-impact sales role for someone who is energized by people, competition, problem-solving, and the chance to help drive growth for a leading brand in a critical building materials category.

In this role, you won’t just support sales. You’ll help win new customers, strengthen relationships with existing ones, and create momentum in the market through store visits, contractor engagement, lead generation, product education, and partnership with local sales teams. You’ll learn the business from the ground up, build meaningful relationships across your territory, and play a direct role in growing product adoption in a fast-moving category.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build customer loyalty: Stay close to existing customers, understand their needs, and help reinforce why James Hardie is the right partner for their business.
  • Create new opportunities: Generate and qualify leads through store visits, referrals, events, and conversations in the field, while keeping activity organized and visible in Salesforce.
  • Bring the product story to life: Learn our products, understand what makes them different, and confidently explain how they solve real challenges for contractors and installers.
  • Partner with retail and pro channel teams: Work with store associates, dealers, distributors, and local sales partners to support product education, merchandising, inventory execution, and account growth.
  • Own your territory: Plan your day, prioritize the right customers and stores, track progress, and find creative ways to make an impact across your assigned market.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A natural ability to start conversations, build trust, and connect with different types of people, from contractors and installers to store teams and internal partners.
  • Curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to learn the building materials industry and grow your sales skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage your schedule, track leads, and stay focused on goals.
  • A competitive mindset and excitement for helping customers understand why James Hardie products stand out.
  • A team-first approach, with the ability to share information, collaborate with local sales teams, and support a broader market strategy.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills when customer questions, product concerns, or store-level challenges arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Retail, sales, customer service, or field-based experience preferred.
