You will be a key resource on large-scale WFM implementation of UKG. You will support James Hardie’s North American Manufacturing organization to develop workforce management processes using best practices from the industry.  You will be responsible for evaluating current state practices, policies, and processes.  Developing a future workforce management methodology, design the system and resources required and create a change management plan for execution over the life of the project and beyond.  You will need to build strong relationships with manufacturing leadership to influence and facilitate long-term goals to create efficiencies in manufacturing. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Develop cross functional partnerships with HR, manufacturing, and finance to develop and implement a workforce management strategy for US manufacturing.
  • Partner with UKG on system implementation of Time Management modules, identifying change impacts and develop plans to mitigate the impacts.
  • Develop new processes for manufacturing leaders to take ownership of time management, identify audits and savings opportunities and create goals to ensure financial savings. 
  • Lead improvements through the Hardie Manufacturing Operating System to drive efficiencies in scheduling and resource management.
  • Partner with Learning and Development to effectively train manufacturing leaders around the new UKG system ensuring quality scheduling and efficiency.
  • Develop an organizational plan to create a new workforce management center of excellence within manufacturing.
  • Partner with finance to develop financial forecasting tools for manufacturing plants to evaluate the impact of various staffing scenarios, refine forecast accuracy and identify labor scheduling opportunities.

What You’ll Bring: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of work experience.
  • 2+ years of Program/Project Management experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proven success in change management and implementing new processes and tools/systems.
  • Experience in Workforce Management or Resource Planning desired.
  • Ability to formulate strategy and roadmap for building, strengthening, and delivering a center of excellence framework for workforce management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize data as a guiding force in decision making partnered with strong communication skills for presentation/story telling.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and best practice scheduling rules preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and working in a hybrid environment.
