Job Summary

 

The Senior Compensation Analyst will directly work with the Senior Manager, Compensation to support the annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus payouts and survey submissions.  This role will also work with the HR Business Partners to develop job evaluations and market pricing as needed.  In addition, the role will the accuracy of database via audits and regular data reconciliation and conduct regular wage & hour audits. Also, provide guidance and training to HR partners on compensation practices and James Hardie guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Evaluate job descriptions, determine FLSA classifications and market price roles
  • Participate in external salary surveys, determining matches and submitting organization profiles. Ensure upload of survey results
  • Actively work to ensure compensation practices are communicated, understood and supported by HR
  • Support the administration of a variety of compensation programs including but not limited to annual merit cycle and bonus programs
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with minimum wage and other compensation related laws.
  • Partner with Payroll, Recruiting and HR to ensure data is accurate
  • Support efforts behind data accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
  • Conducts training and information sessions in compensation processes
  • Continuously audits data to maintain data integrity and makes recommendations based on analyses. Review titling structures for consistency and create/maintain standard job families and job categories. Review and maintain job codes & titles in HR system to ensure consistency, currency, accuracy and accessibility. 
  • Provide consultative services by answering questions from internal customers
  • Update and maintain department dashboards to track activity levels. Dashboards are to be completed on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field - Degree must be from an accredited institution
  • 4 years’ experience in Human Resources or office environment.
  • 2 years’ experience in Compensation or a related field

 

Other Skills

 

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
  • Comfortable working individually and in a team environment and ability to bring positivity and enthusiasm to the team
  • Excellent fact-based decision-making skills and analytical skills, including critical thinking, mathematical, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Experience with salary planning, incentive/bonus program design and market pricing
  • Solid understanding of various compensation practices and pay compliance
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in various situations
