Summary
Location: Chicago, IL; 3 days from downtown Chicago office
Travel: Up to 25% to Commercial and R&D locations
In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders across North America Commercial and Global R&D, helping shape the direction of product management, go-to-market strategy, and innovation investment. You’ll lead the development of strategic topline plans, drive financial modeling and performance insights, and ensure sound financial foundations for decision-making and prioritization.
This highly cross-functional role also connects finance with Demand Planning and Long-Term Capacity Planning, supporting enterprise-wide alignment and execution. You’ll lead a high-performing team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and results.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Finance Leadership:
Partner with Commercial and R&D leaders to drive profitable growth, develop strategic topline and investment plans, and deliver actionable insights on product and segment performance. - Performance & Investment Planning:
Lead financial modeling and forecasting, support innovation and new product development decisions, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Enhance and implement analytic tools, processes, and systems across Commercial, R&D, GTMO, and Finance teams. - Executive Engagement:
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, influence strategic direction, and support ROI measurement and course correction. - Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a high-performing team, drive talent strategy, and foster a culture of excellence and inclusion. - Ad Hoc Insights & Modeling:
Build financial models for growth strategies, support business unit initiatives, and ensure data quality and accuracy.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Strategy, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience; Commercial Finanace preferred
- Experience in a global, public company environment
- 2+ years of people leadership experience
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive presence
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results
- Experience with product profitability, investment planning, and performance measurement
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits, and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
