The Senior Manager,  Sales Effectiveness and Enablement reports to the Director, Sales Operations and Enablement within the Commercial Operations Team and is responsible for driving and enabling the sales team through process, tools, and technologies.  This role will lead a team of business analysts and products including but not limited to Salesforce.com, Tableau and commissions. This role will be instrumental in leading, coaching and developing their direct reports.  The role will be critical to the continued development and execution of sales effectiveness and enablement within the Commercial Sales organization.  The goal of the Senior Manager; Sales Effectiveness and Enablement help the sales organization run effectively, efficiently and in support of company strategies, initiatives, and objectives while leading and managing a high performing team.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with the Director of Sales Operations and Enablement to develop and communicate the vision for the core sales operations and enablement products including but not limited to Salesforce, Tableau, and commissions
  • Responsible for hiring, leading, and developing a team to support the overall objective and mission of the organization.  Handle all people related tasks involving new talent, employee engagement and career development
  • Delegate and set clear expectations/deadlines.  Reviews individual and team performance and provides constructive feedback
  • Motivate, influence, and enable a team to contribute at a high level to the organization’s overall success
  • Create an inspiring team environment that fosters openness and creativity
  • Possess specialized expertise in one or more functional areas such as Salesforce.com.
  • Partners with the Vice Presidents, Senior Directors, Directors, Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and other key personnel to develop the strategy and execution surrounding key initiatives for the organization
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnership with Segments, Sr. Directors, Directors, Regional Sales Leaders, and Area Sales Leaders to understand the sales and segment team’s needs
  • Identifies and quantifies effective sales strategies. Continually reviews and deploys improved methods
  • Define the key reporting and metrics needed to maximize sales effectiveness and is directly connected to the direction and strategy of the sales organization
  • Continuously support and drive change management of the Sales Team, including the development and execution of sales contests and programs
  • Partner with the Sales team, marketing, and products and segments to develop metrics to determine the effectiveness of their programs
  • Provide feedback and input to Marketing, Products and Segments, and other business partners regarding competitive information and insights to strengthen JH market position
  • Pioneers the discovery and adoption of tools that will streamline processes used by the Sales team
  • Analyzes product information to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization
  • Partners with the Sales Operations Learning and Development team to drive effective training programs that help sales team generate demand and deliver results

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience leading sales operations and enablement
  • Previous management experience in sales operations and enablement with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team
  • Subject matter expert driving efficiencies through Saleforce.com, other CRM or enablement tools
  • Successful implementation of processes, tools and technologies that delivered results for the organization
