As the HR Transformation Project Manager you will be responsible for partnering with a 3rd party implementation team to drive the implementation of new processes and software for our HR team at James Hardie.        

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive accountability of actions across the core and extended teams.
  • Establish a meeting cadence, communication plan and working norms across the teams.
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed to ensure project success.
  • Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, and all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, facilitate and manage weekly status meetings.
  • Coordinate efforts between internal teams to ensure project tasks are completed on-time, with-in budget and within scope.
  • Synthesize stakeholder inputs, develop, and manage project plans, shape agendas for discussions, and hold team accountable to their commitments.
  • Identify, document and track project risks, actions, and issues.
  • Consistently review the project dependencies and risks to ensure these are being effectively managed across the relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute project documentation.
  • Plan activities/ tasks that will deliver the desired results and oversee day-to-day work and monitoring of progress toward goals.
  • Work with all teams to ensure a successful handoffs between the project and the implementation and support teams.
  • Perform project close out steps to include identifying lessons learned, / best practices, to inform the success of future project. Identify and apply continuous improvements methodologies throughout the project management lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 3-5 years project management experience with HR or HR transformation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading complex projects.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to drive consensus across project workstreams and James Hardie functions.
  • Strong decision making, planning and issue management skills.
  • Display advanced communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
  • Ability to drive towards key milestones and objectives and lead the James Hardie team.
  • Experience effectively communicating with team, client, and company stakeholders.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, and organize tasks and deliverables as needs evolve.
