Summary

As an intern at James Hardie, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your chosen field, whether it be HR, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, IT, or another function. This is a 12-week paid internship program designed to provide you with valuable insights into the industry, enhance your skills, and prepare you for a successful career. You will work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to real projects that impact our business. Internship Objective:   

Support performance marketing reporting and analysis by maintaining and enhancing dashboards in GA4, Looker Studio, Excel, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), while improving data accuracy through UTM reviews, event validation, and documenting measurement gaps to enable modeling and deeper strategic insights

What You’ll Do:

General Responsibilities: 

  • Work with team members on diverse projects and tasks. 
  • Perform research and analysis to aid project objectives. 
  • Create reports, presentations, and necessary documentation. 
  • Engage in team meetings and share ideas. 
  • Learn and implement industry best practices and company standards. 

 

Marketing Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain, update, and enhance dashboards in GA4, Looker Studio, Excel, and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) to support recurring KPI reporting and performance visibility across marketing and digital channels.
  • Support data quality and tracking integrity across GA4 and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) by validating events, reviewing UTM parameters, and identifying measurement gaps.
  • Assist with tag management and tracking validation using Adobe Launch and Google Tag Manager (GTM), including QA of events, variables, and data layer implementations.
  • Analyze cross-channel performance across Paid Search, Paid Social, Email, SEO, and on-site engagement using GA4 and CJA to surface trends, performance drivers, and optimization opportunities.
  • Assess homeowner and user journeys within CJA to identify drop-offs, friction points, and opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and overall funnel performance. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's program in a relevant discipline at an accredited university, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028 (rising junior or rising senior). 
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
  • Must be available to work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer of 2026. 
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US. 

 

Preferred Skills:   

  • Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset, with an interest in understanding how marketing data connects to real business outcomes. 
  • Basic familiarity with digital analytics tools such as GA4 or similar platforms, and a willingness to learn tools like Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). 
  • Comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) to organize data, spot patterns, and support reporting. 
  • Enthusiasm for understanding how channels such as Paid Search, Paid Social, Email, SEO, and on‑site experiences integrate to accelerate overall marketing performance 
  • Attention to detail when reviewing data, identifying inconsistencies, and asking questions when something doesn’t look right. 
  • Ability to think logically through problems, document findings, and help identify gaps or opportunities in tracking and reporting. 
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback, with the ability to collaborate and learn in a team environment. 

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $22 to $25. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and may change over time
