As the Market Insights Manager you will be responsible for leading a small team of Competitive Intelligence analysts responsible for gathering, collating, and analyzing data from a variety of sources to deliver actionable insights to our Product, Segments and Finance teams. In this role you will be accountable for improving James Hardie’s BI process and aligning with the wider organization around content and cadence expectations.
Work collaboratively with strategic leaders at James Hardie to provide effective counsel around James Hardie’s Commercial position in the fiber cement market in North America.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a small team of Business Intelligence analysts
- Improve and automate existing processes and create new ones to enable a strong Business Intelligence function
- Lead the thinking on new or improved sources of information to enable more actionable insights to our Commercial and Finance organizations
- Be the face of their Business Intelligence function at the operational level within James Hardie
- Coordinate with legal and IT functions to properly store and protect acquired intelligence
- Own relationships with third party vendors to assist in collecting market information

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Required; Preferred - Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Econ, Math, or another quantitative field
- 5-7 years work Experience in a Quantitative and Analytical Role
- 2 years experience managing direct reports
- Market facing business intelligence experience with a focus on competitive intelligence
- Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated track record of drawing actionable insights from data
- High degree of attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong presentation skills to the Director / VP level
- Ability to draw reasonable conclusions from ambiguous or unclear data
- Demonstrated track record of owning external vendor relationships
- Proficiency with SAP ECC, Business Objects, and Tableau preferred
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and analyzing quarterly and annual filings preferred
- Available to travel 20% of the time
