Summary

We’re building a unique Strategy & Corporate Development organization that brings together Strategy, Strategic Planning, M&A, and Global Transformation under one roof. As part of James Hardie’s transformation, this team partners with senior leaders and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and accelerate impact.

 

We’re hiring a Manager to lead strategic initiatives, support M&A execution, and drive key transformation priorities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces ambiguity, and is excited to help build something new.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategy Development: Partner with business leaders to identify, define, and execute enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
  • M&A & Corporate Development: Lead or support M&A processes, from target identification and due diligence through deal execution and integration planning.
  • Transformation Leadership: Collaborate with functional and business unit leaders to drive cross-functional transformation programs, performance improvement, and change management.
  • Executive Communication: Develop board-level presentations, investment theses, and strategic recommendations.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive landscape, emerging trends, and potential disruption across building products and adjacent industries.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a high-growth corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, humble, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Prior building materials, manufacturing, or industrials experience is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $XXX,000.00 to $XXX,000.00. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits, and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
