Reporting to the North American Director of HMOS Processes, Documentation and Training, the Lean Engineer will be responsible for creating, standardizing, and improving core Lean processes that accelerate the maturity and depth of the use of our Lean Management system (HMOS). The position will use formal change management principles to address the needs of operators and managers across all regions (APAC, EU, NA). This position requires travel to the manufacturing sites (up to 25%).

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Follow a formal process of change management to create, document, and standardize lean processes.
  • Coordinate with all three regions (APAC, EU, NA) to ensure we have a global alignment in our lean processes.
  • Collaborate with the regional Lean CI and Execution teams in improving lean processes.
  • Assist in the creation of training for lean processes.
  • Support the automation of the workflows associated to lean processes.
  • Assist in the creation of a knowledge management platform for best practices in manufacturing.
  • Support the Engineering Development Program
  • Provide leadership through influence.
  • Focuses on Voice of Customer, Voice of Business, personal accountability, and an unyielding commitment to results.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, operations management, or related discipline required. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
  • 3-8 years of experience in lean manufacturing (preferably in a continuous production environment).
  • Experience in leading process improvement projects in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Lean.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable in front of all levels of the organization, as well as external customers and vendors.
  • Strong leadership, and conflict management skills.
  • Experience using process improvement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a high-impact position, with deadline and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects, including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, specifications, timelines, and resources up, across, and down in the organization.
  • Ability to travel an average of 25%.
