We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to support our inside sales team and drive revenue growth through lead generation, lead qualifying, lead management, customer and contract engagement for our outside sales team to close deals. This role is pivotal in expanding our footprint with key partners in the residential construction ecosystem through special projects to manage specific initiatives that enable sales growth. This role reports to the Inside Sales Team Lead, and ultimately to the Manager of Inside Sales.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Targeting: Verify new leads by researching permit lists, purchased contacts, channel events and segment/prioritize leads for effectiveness and efficiency
- Lead Management and Customer Outreach: Contact potential clients via phone, email or virtual meetings to introduce products or services, qualifying leads utilizing criteria-specific and relative market segment knowledge to filter opportunities and targets
- Quoting and Proposal Management: Prepare and deliver accurate quotes and pricing proposals tailored to customer needs
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with home builders, dealers, architects and retail partners, communicating product overviews and the company's strong brand
- Close Opportunities: Partner with the outside sales team and consult to move prospects through the sales funnel and close opportunities
- Information Gathering: Gather, analyze and interpret reporting from the voice of the customers back to leaders in the business, use key customer insights and provide recommendations
- Upselling: Consult customers on upselling high-value products, specifically on an architectural product line
- Special Projects: Lead market-specific projects that enhance the experience of the customer and consumer, support product launches and promotions with targeted outreach and follow-up, collaborate with marketing and field sales teams to align campaigns and drive product awareness
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales metrics and pipeline data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
- CRM Maintenance: Ensure CRM systems are accurately maintained and leveraged for reporting and forecasting
- Customer Service: Resolve customer issues and inquiries with professionalism and urgency
What You’ll Bring:
- Post high school education or combination of equivalent work experience (Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Sales and Marketing, or related field preferred)
- 1 to 3 years of inside/outside sales experience, preferably in building materials or construction-related industries
- Proven track record of achieving quantifiable results
- Selling to B2B accounts such as builders, dealers, and retail chains preferred
- Utilizing CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Consultative Selling: Ability to persuade and achieve sales success through customer education by highlighting the company’s value proposition
- Sale Process: understanding of basic funnel management, and standard sales practices.
- Performance Management: Sets goals, monitors progress, and drives accountability
- Communication: Able to convey messages in a captivating manner to customers
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses metrics to guide focus and improve conversion rates
- Business/Financial Acumen: specifically, regarding the construction industry.
- Technical Savy: Ability to work with core Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- CRM Savy: Ability to work with a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%, as necessary
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $61,400K to $76,700K. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
