James Hardie is seeking inquisitive, energized, collaborative, and adaptable college students for our 2024 summer intern program.

Over the course of our 10-12-week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to dynamic and challenging problems.
  • Experience our products up close by touring our state-of-the-art manufacturing and / or research facilities.
  • Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of James Hardie.

  • Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the building materials industry.

What you'll do:

As a member of our Cybersecurity team, you will support project work including but not limited to:

  1. Assist with hands-on triage of security incidents, by participating in the detect, prevent, and eradicate phases of the incident lifecycle.
  2. Review post-mortem and after-action security incident reports to identify or improve remediation strategies.
  3. Create new or review uses cases for security alerts and playbooks, and present and/or conduct training to global team members.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or graduate computer science or cybersecurity program from an accredited college / university with an expected graduation date between May 2025 – December 2026 (Rising Junior or Rising Senior status)
  • Ability to work full time for 10-12 weeks during summer 2024.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Strong academic performance including a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program majors: computer science or cybersecurity
  • Previous internships / co-ops or work experience and / or involvement with student or civic organizations
