The Senior Manager Project Management Office (PMO) for Human Resources is a leader within the global business organization. You will be instrumental in defining and executing the change efforts as part of the James Hardie global transformation. Organizational, communication and project management skills are key in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Partner with leaders and manage the organization and prioritization of both strategic and incremental change initiatives within the HR and across other functional areas within James Hardie as needed. Facilitate, report, resolve and escalate topics to achieve seamless execution. Exhibiting the Company’s core values are critical to the your overall success in this role as well as learning the James Hardie processes, skills, and tools to drive standardization and consistency across the company through the Global Transformation Management Office (GTMO).
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with your respective executive leadership team leader on day-to-day management of the portfolio
- Collaborate with the GTMO to set direction and ensure transformation goals and requirements are effectively segmented and structured. Identify and eliminate overlaps in transformation efforts within and across cross functional teams
- Manage project intake process and work with the GTMO to ensure projects align with both the corporate strategy and business objectives
- Collaborate across GTMO to rationalize and prioritize projects with a focus on the critical few
- Plan, manage, and coordinate day-to-day activities of running the overall PMO for the function organization including identifying and managing interdependencies between projects and teams
- Drive adherence to overall processes, procedures, and standard stage gates for project delivery. Work across organization to drive required changes in behavior
- Engage with workstream leads and project managers to aid project visibility and quality (establish guidelines, review work, ensure deliverables are first class)
- Understand key aspects of functional workstreams to ensure all resource requirements (people, time and cost) are met
- Partner with the GTMO in the development of standard project management practices to create a standard best in class management office
- Drive objectivity over subjectivity in the program status reporting process
- Deliver key messages regarding key business programs. Manage the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis
- Manage multiple programs, projects, and respective PMs, potentially across the globe

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (must be from an accredited institution)
- MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in a mix of consulting/industry roles
- 3+ years of proven leadership capabilities
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience working in an HR business partner role or HR center of excellence function is required.
- Facilitation of HR processes and/or annual cycles, i.e. performance management, talent management
- HR leadership team experience
- Detail oriented, with solid organizational skills
- Aptitude to analyze results and make recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive execution and alignment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong cross-functional communication and interdependency skills; ability to relate, cooperate, and build relationships with peers, leaders, and other teams to help achieve business goals
- Desire to work with organizational and cultural change
- Critical Thinking and ability to navigate multiple priorities
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (estimated at 20%)
