What You’ll Do: 

 

The Global Process Owner (GPO) reports to the VP Finance Transformation and is responsible for partnering in the development of the process vision, strategy, and objectives for an end-to-end process strategy They will also continue to enhance the process in support of delivering global business objectives across business and corporate functions.

 

The GPO provides strategic and operational direction to drive process efficiency, standardization, and effectiveness across an end-to-end process and across functions, geographic and business unit boundaries to deliver sustained value to James Hardie. In this role, the GPO – Order to Cash (O2C) will be the steward over the global capability to advance process efficiencies across the end-to-end value chain (i.e. order management, order fulfillment, invoicing, payment processing, reporting, analysis and associated master data). Provide process leadership to move us to a “capability-driven” model using an ongoing roadmap that prioritizes/promotes transformation, innovation, attracting top talent, best practices, efficient solutions, and thought-leadership.

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required (Accounting/Finance preferred)
  • 8 years of progressive experience in the respective process area required
  • Considered a domain expert in the respective process area
  • Significant experience and use of relevant systems and technology in the respective process area
  • Experience in leading transformational initiatives
  • Proficient understanding of SOX
  • Experience working with global stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, collecting and analyzing data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, policies, practices, and accounting principles
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Expert in Business Process interdependencies with major ERP (SAP preferred)
  • MBA/CPA (Preferred)
  • Six Sigma/LEAN Certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (estimated at 25%)
  • Ability to be detailed while having a strong understanding of the bigger picture
  • Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills, with a proven track record in implementing improvement projects
  • An energetic, hands-on individual with a strong bias for action, someone who commits himself/herself fully to stretch goals, is receptive to ongoing coaching and development and who is dedicated to delivering outstanding results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. A good listener with outstanding interpersonal qualities and can present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to hold firm in the face of adversity
  •  Ability to embrace step-change in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment.
