As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for partnering with a specific line of business or function and leading the financial planning and analytics to achieve business goals and objectives and support leadership decision-making. This highly cross functional role will partner with a variety of business teams and broader finance teams to meet financial and operational goals. This role spans both ongoing operational goals as well as numerous strategic initiatives.
As the Finance Manager you will assimilate data and trends from multiple sources to drive growth. You will collaborate on short-term and long-term financial planning and forecasting as well as strategic initiatives. You will be the finance subject matter expert across a specific line of business or function. As the Finance Manager you will offer sound business judgement, deep analytical capabilities, strategic perspectives, and a collaborative working style among a high caliber team. You will have a growth mindset and brings fresh thinking to identify and address current and future opportunities to optimize company profitability.
What You’ll Do:
Lead all aspects of planning and forecasting for relevant business unit or function (60%)
- Provide financial leadership by partnering with the business and cross functional support teams to lead the 1-3 year planning and forecasting activities
- Continuously improve the forecast models; providing frequent variance analysis to enable growth including identification of risks and opportunities
- Provide expert level knowledge on the performance ranging from daily to annual time horizons
- Leverage historical trends to provide direction for business activities
- Liaise and work with a broad cross-functional team to drive growth across all facets of the business
- Deliver insights to anticipate macro level trends and identify growth opportunities
- Ability to get deep into the data to identify trends and opportunities, at granular levels using disparate data sources
- Support the preparation of materials for leadership discussions to evaluate initiatives
- Communicate financial data effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ad Hoc Analysis and Partnership (30%)
- Contribute to broad scale initiatives to enable the relevant business unit or function to meet financial objectives as directed by team leadership/
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data used by the business including leveraging internal subject matter experts, to develop projections and models
- Size opportunities and product, channel and/or geographic strategies including identification and quantification of risks and opportunities as well as scenario analysis
- Develop and own financial models and financial target setting for various growth strategies. This includes leveraging various internal experts to refine projections and estimates
- Evaluate ongoing financial performance vis a vis the targets set for various strategic initiatives
- Drive the consolidation of segment forecast models for reporting to retail leadership as needed in respective area of business

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Strategy or another quantitative discipline required
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable finance experience required
- MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience in a large business unit within a sophisticated, global, public company environment preferred
- Minimum of two or more years leading and managing a team desired
- Exceptional analytical abilities with outstanding attention to detail
- Curiosity for understanding the “why” behind the business results
- Willingness to handle ambiguity in data availability and definitive metrics
- Expert level skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate views in a clear and concise manner
- Good listening skills with outstanding interpersonal qualities and a natural, effective consultative style; sought out for opinions and counsel and ability to forge and maintain close relationships
- Strong leadership presence with demonstrated ability to work well with all levels in the organization as well as key external stake holders
- Confidence and ability to use data to influence others in the organization with the ability to share those insights and observations and outline what the business should do differently that will manifest into business decisions
- Ability to address complex business issues with a level of comfort and ease; ability to lead the way when met with resistance
