As the Market Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, collating, and analyzing data from a variety of sources to deliver actionable insights to our Product and Segments teams. As a Market Insights Analyst, you are assigned target accounts and are expected to become the go to experts for all aspects of their assigned accounts.
You will prepare reports of your findings, which you would share and present to stakeholders in our central commercial teams to enable them to deliver innovative new products, and effective strategies in the market.
What You’ll Do:
- Being the central expert for all aspects of assigned accounts
- Owning and updating SWOT analysis for target accounts
- Listening to and analyzing quarterly and annual results calls
- Reviewing and benchmarking the products and services offered by assigned accounts
- Utilizing industry and third-party reporting
- Soliciting relevant feedback from James Hardie sales teams and using it to increase knowledge of target accounts
- Running cross functional reporting not assigned to target accounts
- Presenting insights to James Hardie’s strategic teams on a regular cadence

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Required, Preferred - Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Math or other quantitative degree
- Two to Four Years Work Experience in a Quantitative and Analytical Role Required, Preferred – Competitive intelligence experience outside of a consumer-packaged goods industry
- Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated track record of drawing actionable insights from data
- Demonstrated track record with presenting insights to leadership teams
- High degree of attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to make analytical leaps of faith when data is incomplete or unavailable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to hold peers accountable in a matrix organization
- Proficiency with SAP ECC, Business Objects, and Tableau preferred
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and analyzing quarterly and annual filings preferred
- Demonstrated experience in analytical account ownership and expertise preferred
- Travel – Competitive Intelligence Analysts are expected to be available to travel 10% of the time
