As a shift Maintenance Electrician reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of the Maintenance team. You will be responsible for repairs and maintenance for all machinery and equipment such as conveyor systems, hydraulic components, machine control, and much more.

Perform electrical/mechanical tests to determine exact cause of issue.

Ability to gather and disseminate design data to EH&S team for use in preparing permit applications.

Identifying and correcting hazards in the plant, both safety and environmental;
Holding individuals accountable for work area and general plant housekeeping; and
Recognizing employees for exceptional performance in regards to safety.

Routinely verifies conformance of material being produced to meet or exceed the 98% first pass quality standard by:

Monitoring quality parameters of material produced and make adjustments as needed (Green Sheet, LECO, MOR, ILB);
Ensuring that all employees are properly trained on quality specifications and are accurately using testing equipment;
Actively pursuing and correcting issues that negatively effect the quality of the board;
Recognizing employees for exceptional performance in regards to quality; and
Promoting a quality-conscious culture through actions and accountability.

Understands the waste, speed, and delay design for each product on each machine, then meets or exceeds design by:

Recommending improvements and/or upgrades to optimize throughputs;
Becoming engaged in the production run plan and making suggestions to improve;
Coordinating daily activities, which include the run plan, clean up, and changeovers to best utilize resources and maximize efficiency;
Planning and managing all downtime events on the crew to target 95% plus “time to efficiency” (TTE), this would include but is not limited to: wash ups, product changeovers, size changeovers and unscheduled downtime;
Developing strategies to close design throughput gaps and improve TTE; and
Recognizing employees for exceptional production performance.

Actively pursues ways to meet site yield expectation of 95% or higher by:

Reducing rejects to below 2%;
Achieving greater than 95% site yield;
Recognizing employees for exceptional performance and the ability to control cost;
Reducing interleaver usage by managing an effective plan to eliminate transit damage; and
Effectively managing overtime (OT) at or below 18%.

As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and inclusion. You will lead initiatives that ensure efficiency, quality, and sustainability in manufacturing operations while developing and mentoring diverse teams to drive measurable improvements.

The Engineering -Continuous Improvement Manager supports the Fontana, CA manufacturing plant in meeting the product specification, customer requirements, and shareholder expectations by improving process capability and driving process improvement projects utilizing Lean methods. Their work efforts will improve attainment of key manufacturing metrics: safety, quality, yield, RATE, and cost efficiency. This person will use process analysis skills and project management skills to identify the right projects and guide the right actions during the selection process, while coordinating project resourcing, timelines, and schedules through our Lean management system (HMOS).

To be effective in this role, the person should have 8+ years of experience working in a large-scale continuous manufacturing site conducting cycle time and bottleneck analysis, waste mapping, process optimization, and new product trials resulting in improved throughput, quality, or yield. You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers.

What You’ll Do:

Improve key business metrics of RTY, Net Hours and RATE by implementing and supporting & leading lean and continuous improvement activities.
Encourage diverse perspectives in problem-solving and innovation, ensuring everyone has a voice in Lean initiatives.
Oversee and drive associate participation (including process experts) in Lean initiatives, promoting an inclusive and collaborative approach.
Coordinate and track the weekly Continuous Improvement activities.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.

Experience managing engineers including their professional development, performance reviews and mentoring preferred.

What You’ll Do:

The Lean Manager will focus on growth and process improvement projects. Responsibilities include:

Change Management
- Drives targeted, sustainable improvement by leveraging cross-functional teamwork and change management processes
- Functions as a senior leader of the site to implement continuous improvement in targeted areas
- Assists in the development of improvement roadmaps (i.e., how to use tools and processes to drive sustainable improvement results)
